Redrow SID sees big oppose vote

Well over a quarter of shareholders failed to back the re-election of Redrow senior independent director and deputy chair Alan Jackson at the company’s AGM this week.

According the company’s RNS release, there was a 24% vote against Brown’s re-election at the AGM. However, once abstentions are included the level of active support drops to just 72%. PIRC had recommended that shareholder abstain on his election due to concerns over his aggregate time commitments as he had missed 25% of all Audit Committee meetings during the year under review.
